Serendipity patchwork

You may have been wondering what happened to the box of crochet squares. Well, we tried to do something like a Babette blanket and the talented people in the Babette blanket group at Flickr gave us some wonderful tips. But Mum just had to do her own thing and so her blanket turned out not Babette, but serendipity patchwork. We've been assembling it, but it's not quite finished yet. It still needs a couple of crochet rows to contain it and slip stitch embroidery on all the seams. I get to do the fiddly bits, so wish me luck.

And best wishes for 2008!

Hi mum,

The serendipidy blanket looks great, can't wait to see the real thing. I'll give you a hand with fiddly bits, if there are still some left when i get back.
